Malignant Fibrous Histiocytoma Prognosis

The malignant fibrous histiocytoma prognosis will depend on factors such as:

  • The size and location of the tumor
  • Whether the malignant fibrous histiocytoma is localized or metastatic
  • How the cancer cells look under the microscope
  • The patient's age and general health.

In most cases, the malignant fibrous histiocytoma five-year survival rate ranges from 25 to 55 percent.
